"The Eyes of the Father" grew out of a desire to preserve for my children a record of their early lives. I wanted them to be able to see themselves as I saw them, and feel the love I have for them. I also wanted them to see that my love for them is a direct reflection of God's love for them.

My original intent was to record everything: pregnancy, doctor visits, lamaze class, Amy's strange cravings (jalapenos and chocolate - yuck!). But to be honest, there wasn't enough material during that time period to write pieces that would be unique from one week to the next.

Oh, how that changed once Chloe was born! It seemed like every time I turned around, God was using that little girl to teach me something about myself, or about Him.

Then God gave me the opportunity to get the pieces published in the newspaper. Almost immediately, I started to get feedback from readers. They enjoyed reading about my kids (who wouldn't?). They also liked the way I took my experiences and observations and related them to spiritual truths.

Many people today see God as distant, uncaring and uninvolved in our daily lives. That couldn't be further from the truth. God is a loving, caring father who is concerned with every aspect of our lives.

My prayer is that if you don't know it already, the articles posted on this site will show you just how much your heavenly father loves you.
